Using the power of DSP, ADRO carries out sophisticated analysis and implements fuzzy logic rules to continuously optimize the output of the hearing aid. Operating in 32 channels, your FreedomAD hearing aids provide natural amplified sound by using statistical analysis to compare and adjust the output of each channel of the hearing aid to comfortable and audible levels chosen by the user. The Feedback Canceller (FBC) Module provides up to a 22 dB of added stable gain before oscillation of the hearing aid output occurs. The FBC is especially suitable for open fittings, earmolds with large vents and use with high levels of application. The FBC is a high-performance, efficient module based on patented intellectual property developed from the House Ear Institute. The characteristics that distinguish the HEI algorithm from other feedback cancellation and feedback management algorithms are the high level of added stable gain, and the high quality of the output, including excellent performance in music. The Adaptive Directional Microphone (ADM) module is a superior directional microphone system. With sophisticated monitoring of multiple microphones, the module is able to adapt into and out of an omni directional mode, all the while optimizing the polar pattern for the listener. Ultra Low Digital Delay - Industry leading technology

Freedom AD employs patented, state-of-the-art, Ultra Low Delay digital sound processing (ULD). When sounds are amplified by digital hearing aids, a time delay is introduced because it takes time for the hearing aid to process the sound and amplify it to an appropriate level. The result can be hearing an echo when using hearing aids. ADRO with ULD reduces the amplified delay to less than 1 millisecond, resulting in improved sound quality, elimination of the echo sensation, and reduced chance of feedback.
