AHI repair warranty does not cover excessive damage, loss or theft of your hearing aids.
Excessive damage may include: An aid that has been crushed (stepped on or run over), an aid that a pet has chewed, an aid that has been over exposed to moisture (worn in the shower, pool, long exposure to high humidity areas), an aid that has been overexposed to heat (stored in glove compartment of car, dried in a microwave or oven), aids damaged in shipping.
It is the discretion of AHI to determine that a hearing aid is damaged beyond repair and therefore not covered under the standard repair warranty.
AHI Hearing Instrument Protection Plan (Loss & Damage Coverage)
1 year plan: $99.00 per instrument
This plan covers your hearing aid for loss, damage, or theft for one year from date of invoice.
We will replace or repair with a new, used or rebuilt hearing aid of the same or better model.
There is a $200 deductible that the client must pay per hearing aid claim (per instrument.)
Limit of one claim (repair or replacement) during the 1 year period.
Plan must be purchased within 30 days of invoice.
2 year plan: $149.00 per instrument
This plan covers your hearing aid for loss, damage, or theft for two years from date of invoice.
We will replace or repair with a new, used or rebuilt hearing aid of the same or better model.
There is a $200 deductible that the client must pay per hearing aid claim (per instrument.)
Limit of one claim (repair or replacement) during the 2 year period.
Plan must be purchased within 30 days of invoice.
3 year plan: $199.00 per instrument
This plan covers your hearing aid for loss, damage, or theft for three years from date of invoice.
We will replace or repair with a new, used or rebuilt hearing aid of the same or better model.
There is a $200 deductible that the client must pay per hearing aid claim (per instrument.)
Limit of one claim (repair or replacement) during the 3 year period.
Plan must be purchased within 30 days of invoice.
Plan is only available within the first 30 days of purchase. Inspection of aids by America Hears will be required if purchased after initial shipment. Only the hearing instruments are covered in this plan. Accessories, Tubing, Earmolds, Programming supplies are not covered. Client must submit an AHI claim form, Protection Plan Receipt, and their deductible to process. During our normal 60 day return for credit period, a full refund of the protection plan price will be refunded with the return of the America Hears Aid(s) for credit. There is no refund after that. If clients find their lost or stolen hearing aid after a replacement has been issued – it becomes the property of AHI and must be returned. AHI reserves the right to confiscate the found original hearing aid.
