Warranties/Repair: America Hears offers a standard one year repair warranty on all instruments, unless otherwise specified. The warranty covers repairs due to fit and/or function failure. This warranty is for damage to the instruments that occurs during the normal use of the instrument.
This warranty does not cover misuse or excessive damage to the aid and it does not cover the loss of an instrument.
Excessive damage may include: An aid that has been crushed (stepped on or run over), an aid that a pet has chewed, an aid that has been over exposed to moisture (worn in the shower, pool, long exposure to high humidity areas), an aid that has been overexposed to heat (stored in glove compartment of car, dried in a microwave or oven), aids damaged in shipping.
It is the discretion of AHI to determine that a hearing aid is damaged beyond repair and therefore not covered under the standard repair warranty.
Speaker-in-the-ear tubes will be replaced up to 3 times during the 12 month warranty and the defective tube must be sent in before we will process an in warranty replacement.
Flex connectors are warranted for 60 days from date of invoice.
The out of warranty repair service includes a 12 month warranty. If there is a charge for your repair, a check, money order, or credit card number must be received before the repair work is done.
Included in your America Hears kit you will find all the necessary supplies to send in your repair (including proper packaging). If you choose not to use this packaging, you are responsible to package your instruments properly to avoid damage during shipping. If aids are received with excessive damage they may not be covered under the repair warranty. (See Hearing Instrument Protection Plan.)

An additional second year extended repair warranty can be purchased for $89.00 per instrument, within 60 days of invoice (does not cover the SIE tubing).
Please note that your hearing aid warranty does not cover loss.
We suggest that you contact your home owners insurance carrier to have a rider added or you can contact ESCO (800-992-3726 or www.earserv.com) for additional hearing aid insurance options.
Model Change: A model change can only be made within 60 days of invoice. You will be charged or credited the difference accordingly. There will be no model changes made after the 60 day period.
Returns for Refund: Any hearing instruments may be returned for a full refund (including shipping), if such return is made within 60 days of receipt. For full refunds, the hearing system must be returned complete and undamaged. This includes the programmer, cables, CD rom, hearing instruments, tubing, earmolds, batteries and all accessories.
Technology Upgrade Program:
When more advanced FreedomTM technology is introduced, a prorated portion of your current hearing aids' cost can be applied toward the purchase price of new instruments provided the new technology is compatible with your current style of instrument. This allows you to enjoy the benefits of the new technology without paying the full new instrument price. Upgrades come with a full one year warranty.
Referral Reward Program: Have your friend or relative tell us that you have referred them and 60 days after their hearing aid purchase we will send you a check for $25. Refer as many as you like, there is no limit. Call our hearing aid specialists for additional details.
