Australia Hears, founded by CEO Dr. Peter Blamey, sells and supports America Hears hearing instruments through qualified and established audiologists and dispensers throughout Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Blamey continues to develop hearing instrument technologies that will be integrated in new products sold by both Australia Hears and America Hears. During his career as a Principal Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Dr. Blamey worked on the Bionic Ear, hearing instruments and other devices for people with impaired hearing. He has published over 150 papers in physics, psychophysics, speech processing, speech perception and language development in children with impaired hearing. He is an inventor on 16 international patent and patent application families, including ADRO^® processing. In 2007, he shared the International Award of the American Academy of Audiology with Dr Richard Seewald.
